Bail, answered straight
How much does a bail bond cost in Florida?
Florida law sets the premium at exactly 10% of the bond amount, with a $100 minimum (15% on federal bonds). Every licensed bondsman must charge that exact figure — not more, not less, and not “financed” — so the real difference between agencies is speed and service.
How long does release from the Brevard County Jail take?
Once we post the bond at the Brevard County Jail Complex in Sharpes, release typically takes 2–8 hours depending on how busy booking is. Calling us early is the single best way to shorten the wait.
What do I need to bail someone out?
A valid photo ID, the premium payment, and basic information about the defendant — name, date of birth, and which facility they are in. We confirm charges and the bond amount directly with the jail while you are on the phone.
Why don’t you offer payment plans?
Because Florida law doesn’t allow them. The Department of Financial Services requires agents to collect the exact filed premium — discounting or financing it is unlawful rebating. Here’s the state’s own guidance; an agency cutting corners on the premium is telling you how it handles the rest of your case.
Where are you located?
Two Brevard offices: 822 Sarno Rd in Melbourne (south Brevard) and 3935 US-1 in Cocoa — minutes from the county jail. Both answer 24/7, including Sundays and holidays, and we post bonds anywhere in Brevard County.
What happens if the defendant misses court?
Call us immediately. A missed appearance triggers a warrant, but acting fast — often the same day — usually lets us get the defendant back on the bond and back on the court calendar without an arrest.
